How do I report a General Liability Incident?

General Liability Incident?
GL incident involves actual, alleged, or observed bodily injury or property damage to a third party where an individual involved is seeking compensation from us. This includes visitors, customers, and vendor employees.
- Example Scenario: An elderly woman Is on the ground bleeding from her right leg. She states she tripped over a speaker that was on the ground and agrees to let you call and ambulance.
Steps to Take:
- After the medical needs of the individual have been addressed, document and photograph everything pertaining to the incident and retain all relevant video footage capturing, ideally, one hour before and 30 minutes after the incident.
- Complete a Tishman Speyer Incident Report and forward it to: Incidentreportprop@TishmanSpeyer.com.

- Report as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the event. The insurance company will contact the claimant within a few business days to discuss the incident. The sooner it gets reported, the sooner the insurer will be in touch with the claimant.
GL Incident & No Reported Injuries?
Sometimes a third party Is Injured but they're not seeking compensation and are refusing to provide their name and contact information.
Please note: All incidents that involve actual, alleged, or observed bodily injury or property damage to any third party should be recorded and reported
Steps to Take:
- Document and photograph everything pertaining to the incident and retain all relevant video footage capturing, ideally, one hour before and 30 minutes after the incident.
- Complete a Tishman Speyer Incident Report – give physical descriptions of the potential claimant (male, female, short, tall, etc.) – and forward it to: Incidentreportprop@tishmanspeyer.com. In the body of your email, please note that the report is FOR INFORMATION/RECORD PURPOSE ONLY. Report as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the event.
Note: avoid taking photos of the injured person’s face.
GL Incident Caused by Contractor or Vendor?
Property Damage or Bodily Injury to a third party caused be a vendor or contractor.
Steps to Take:
- Document and photograph everything pertaining to the incident and retain all relevant video footage capturing, ideally, one hour before and 30 minutes after the incident.
- Complete a Tishman Speyer Incident Report and forward it to: Incidentreportprop@tishmanspeyer.com. Report as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the event.
Note: avoid taking photos of the injured person’s face.
Who Pays?
Although the (vendor or contractor) may be at fault. A claim may still be pursued against the Tishman Speyer as owner and/or as a property manager. In this scenario,
- We will look to transfer the loss (tender) to the responsible party.
- The Insurer will require all contracts and certificates of insurance between us and the other party to establish whether there Is additional Insured coverage or Indemnity obligations benefiting us.
