Manager’s New Hire Checklist (Part 1: Preparation)
This article will cover what a manager can do in preparation for their new hire (that will report to them) before the first week of onboarding.
Preparation for your New Hire
(To be completed before your new hire starts)
Congratulations on your incoming new direct report!
This checklist will ensure you set them up for success before they arrive.
Tickets to Submit for Access to Our Systems
Submit a ticket on Service Desk here for the following:
- Angus (Ambassador: “Trade” access; Manager/AGM/GM: “Admin” access)
- Basware
- D365
- Docusign.com (for Manager/AGM/GM)
- Tableau (only for Managers/AGMs/GMs)
Submit a ticket on Knowledge Base here and click:
- In the dropdown for “Who is this issue with?” select “Staffing Updates”
- When “Type of Update” populates, select “New Hire”
- Fill out the sections and in the fillable box for “Please describe the issue,” request access for:
- Platform
- Papercut
- Hubspot
- Studio App
- Yardi
Request from the ZO Director for access:
- ZO App (request Admin access)
Other Items to Add New Hires to
Email Additions
- Request the new hire to be added to email distribution lists by reaching out to your RGM for these distros:
- Studio Teams – Global
- Studio Teams – US
- Studio Managers (if applicable)
- Check that the new hire’s email domain is @yourstudio.com (as opposed to @tishmanspeyer.com; if this needs to be changed, please connect with your RGM)
Recurring meetings they should be a part of
- Weekly/biweekly 1:1s
- Daily standup (if applicable)
- Recurring leasing call (if applicable)
- Monthly Ops call
- Monthly Tech call
- Monthly PMO meeting (if applicable)
- Any other meetings/calls that are applicable
