New Hire Training Guide: Days 2-5 - General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Manager

This article will outline your first week as a GM/AGM/Manager at Studio.

Daily Tasks For Days 2-5

These are tasks that you'll consistently complete each day.

 

Morning Check-in with Manager- With your manager

  1. Review your schedule for the day
  2. Review notable items/events in space for the day
  3. Ask any questions from previous day

Walkthrough Shadow- With your manager or co-worker

  1. Review walkthrough checklist on app
  2. Discuss cadence (morning, mid-day, end of day)
  3. Understand our presentation standards of spaces
  4. Learn how to report and follow up on an issue
  5. Pantry upkeep
    1. Learn to make coffee and run the dishwasher
    2. Learn items we stock and where we keep storage
  6. Learn locations of important space amenities (pantry, phonebooths, etc.)
  7. Take the lead at one of the walkthroughs at the end of the day

 

Front Desk Shadow- With your manager or co-worker

  1. Introduce yourself to members/building team by learning names, companies, and job functions
  2. Print floorplan and mark which member leases each space in Studio
  3. Note the type of questions members or visitors ask
  4. Review emails with your manager as they come into your mailbox or the shared mailbox
  5. Help sort mail and packages to learn company names
  6. Review site binder and password document
  7. Get all the details about the location -- learn occupancy, initiatives, important information about members
  8. In down time, review BOX and location site-folder
  9. Practice what you learned in skill sessions

 

End of Day Check-In with Manager- With your manager

  1. Discuss what you learned and ask any questions about items reviewed
  2. Discuss goals for next day
