Troubleshooting: “Book Now” Button Not Visible in the Your Studio App

A member reports that the “Book Now” button is missing or not appearing when they try to reserve a room in the Your Studio App

Why This Happens (Root Cause)

This issue occurs when:

  1. The member is using an outdated app version or incorrect app link.
  2. Their email in Yardi and VTS does not match.
  3. They lack booking permissions or are not provisioned correctly in VTS.
  4. The app view has not fully loaded or needs to be refreshed.

Common Symptoms

Maven should trigger this article when any of the following are mentioned:

  • “I don’t see the Book Now button.”
  • “The booking screen doesn’t load fully.”
  • “I can’t reserve rooms in the app.”
  • “The button isn’t showing up even though I’m logged in.”

How to Fix It (Action Steps)

Step 1 — Confirm app and access method

  • Ask the member to confirm they are on app.yourstudio.com (desktop version).
  • Ensure they are not on the ZO screen (green branding).
  • Confirm their app is updated to the latest version.
    Why: Using the wrong platform or an outdated version prevents the booking interface from loading properly.

Step 2 — Validate member login credentials

  • Log into Studio VTS (not “Activate VTS”).
  • Confirm the member is using the same email listed in their onboarding and Yardi record.
    Why: Mismatched emails between Yardi Kube and VTS block booking permissions.

Step 3 — Check permissions

  • In Yardi Kube, confirm the member has booking permission enabled.
  • In VTS, confirm the member is provisioned as:
    • Workplace Member
    • Booking Access
      Why: Missing permissions in either system prevent the “Book Now” button from appearing.

Step 4 — Reconfirm email consistency

  • Compare the member’s email in Yardi Kube and VTS.
  • They must match exactly (case-sensitive).
    Why: Any variation will block system synchronization and disable booking access.

Step 5 — Check app display behavior

  • Have the member scroll to the bottom of the screen where the “Book Now” button appears.
  • Ask them to toggle time periods or zoom out on their view if the button doesn’t populate immediately.
    Why: The button sometimes loads below the visible screen area or after filters refresh.

Step 6 — Refresh the session

  • Ask the member to log out and back into the app.
    Why: Logging out clears cached data and re-syncs access permissions, often restoring missing interface elements.
